Police seized 80 kilos of drugs camouflaged in the back seat of a vehicle

The National Police of Ecuador through the Antinarcotics National  Directorate and the Unit Against Traffic for Internal Consumption, executed this Wednesday, April 25, the operation «Resistance», which allowed the seizure of 80 kilos of drugs, and the arrest of citizen Pedro P., presumed member of an organization dedicated to the crime of illicit substance trafficking.

After several weeks of investigative management tasks, it was determined that a citizen who would fulfill within the structure the role of transporter, was going to transfer a large quantity of drugs from the province of Los Ríos to Guayaquil, immediately monitoring and surveillance teams they were located in strategic places in the canton of Valencia, Buena Fe district, and they intercepted the driver who was on board a jeep-type vehicle, through a meticulous search a cache-type compartment was found under the seats, in its interior camouflaged 80 brick-like packages with the logo «SIM», which contained a whitish substance, which after the preliminary identification test approved (PIPH), tested positive for cocaine, weighing 80,000 grams.

According to the research carried out, the organization to which this citizen belongs is responsible for intermediating, buying, selling and marketing narcotics in various sectors of Guayaquil.
