Police arrested alleged perpetrator of home theft in Cotacachi

Police officers detained the ctizen Luis Mauricio T. M., 27 years old, alleged perpetrator of the crime of burglary in Cotacachi.

The report of the robbery to the address located in the la Calera sector, which took place between Tuesday night and early today, was the beginning of the investigative process that allowed the police officers to find the whereabouts of one of the alleged perpetrators of the crime.

The investigation and follow up carried by personnel of the Judicial Police in Cotacachi gave positive results a few hours after committing the crime. At 10:00 today, approximately, the subject Luis M. was found in the community of San Pedro, was in the home together with the stolen objects.

The investigation give account that the subject would have used the service of a taxi to transfer the stolen objects until the community of San Pedro, objects that were also recovered the suspect was arrested in flagrante delicto so he was immediately transferred to the Provisional Detention Center of Ibarra and placed under to orders of the respective authority.

Evidences

Among the evidences found there are there saddles for horses, a bicycle, an energy generator, a moladora, a circular, a jigsaw, among other objects.

Other complaints

After the arrest of the suspect, the owners of the recovered objects recognized their belongings; at the same time other complaints from several owners of houses located in the El Batán sector were added, whose owners recognized several objects that were among those recovered.
