Police helicopter crew escaped unhurt after crash

The afternoon of Friday 29 April, a helicopter Aeropolicial Service of the National Police suffered an accident while flying over the city of Quito, on a routine patrol. The aircraft was a MD530FF, accommodating two crew and two passengers.

At the time of the accident two people were on board were crew. Two officers in the grade of lieutenant survived the event, after the aircraft fell in the cable car sector, northwest of the capital. They have not yet determined the reasons for the accident.
