Environment police withhold forest product

2.73 m3 of forest product were retained during a control operation carried out by police officers of the Environment Unit (UPMA) and officials of the Ministry of the Environment in Ibarra.

The police device called «Environment 7» was carried out in different parts of the canton for the purpose of controlling the forest product and wildlife.

During the tour some sawmills were visited where the wood is traded.
