Operational «Libertad» allows to rescue victims of human trafficking in Quito

The National Police, through the Unit Against the Crime of Trafficking in Persons and Illicit Trafficking in Migrants (Ucdtptm), executed the «Libertad» operation, which rescued a woman, allegedly a victim, at dawn on Saturday, November 10. of trafficking in persons for the purpose of sexual exploitation in the south of Quito.

The case was presented by his mother to the Prosecutor’s Office of Pichincha, so immediately the Ucdtptm agents, began with the search and location protocols of the citizen Soledad C.

In the first inquiries it was known that it would be in the sector of Quitumbe, so it was coordinated with the Intervention and Rescue Group, Criminalistics, Dinapen and Prosecutor’s Office to conduct raids in a hostel and a tolerance center, where it was possible to rescue the victim and his 2-year-old daughter.

Also within the operation was arrested a citizen (records), who according to preliminary investigations would use the daughter of the victim to force through blackmail and threats, perform acts of a sexual nature against their will.

The National Police, through the Unit Against the Crime of Trafficking in Persons and Trafficking of Migrants, is permanently involved in the fight against human trafficking, to guarantee the protection of the rights and integrity of children and adolescents. YEQM / DNCE.
